Mr. Smith Charcoal maintains, enhances, and extends hair colour by depositing a cool charcoal pigment. Almond, lavender and orange peel oil calm the scalp and enrich the hair with vitamins, improving shine, strength and condition. Recommended for coloured and natural dark grey and brown to dark brown hair.

Shampoo hair twice and apply Charcoal Masque.
Comb through to evenly distribute product through the hair.
Leave to tone for 2-3 minutes, or for a maximum of 10-15 minutes for a more intense colour.
Rinse out thoroughly.

What affects the intensity of tone of Pigments?

Hair condition and colour

The more porous the hair is, from chemical processing, including bleaching and colouring, the quicker you will see a result, and the more vibrant the colour will be.

Application time and frequency of use

Mr. Smith Pigments are buildable, meaning you are in control of your colour.

Amount of water in the hair

  • Softest intensity: apply to damp hair
  • Moderate Intensity: apply to towel dried hair
  • Maximum Intensity: apply to dry hair

Please never stop making this product

My holy grail. My hair has never looked better. It is the perfect toner for my brown hair, making it the perfect natural cool tone which compliments my complexion perfectly. Leaves my hair feeling amazing too. You do need to wear gloves to apply, but small inconvenience for the result.

Five Star Quality and Service

First go, I didn’t apply enough pigment so had a second go the next day. Excellent coverage but not the right colour for me. A friend had recommended Strawberry Blonde for me but I decided on Charcoal, I think she was right. The texture of my hair was wonderful and the quality of the pigment is excellent. I am very happy with the product and the fast delivery.

Great product!
